No fuel surcharge in near future, Firefly reiterates

Despite high jet fuel prices, Firefly has reiterated that it will not burden its passengers with a fuel surcharge in the near future.

Its managing director Datuk Eddy Leong said it was the company's commitment to make travel affordable.

"Firefly's fare structure and pricing strategies have already taken into account the off-peak and high-peak cycles, and both early-bird buyers and last-minute shoppers.

"Our passengers can anticipate guaranteed lowest fares with discounts on offer of up to 80% or in some instances, even zero fare," he said in a statement Friday.

Leong added that the airline maintained high efficiency to keep its operating costs low so that it could offer the lowest prices to its customers.
